My Canon AE-1
Hey everyone! I’m pretty excited to announce this,
I’m finally getting into film photography!
This has been a hobby I’ve wanted to get into for a few years now, and with the need to photograph weather stuff, I have a reason to throw some money at it.
The Camera Choice
For my entry film camera, I decided to go with the AE-1. This is partially because a few years ago I was convinced to get into this hobby, and bought one for a pretty penny. However it didn’t come with the lense so it was kind of just a big paperweight.
Today I’m glad to announce that’s changed! Last night I puchased a 50mm Focal Length 1.8/f Canon FD Lens for the camera. I decided to go with the 1.8 f-stop lense because I don’t really have the extra cash right now to purchase the 1.4, and I figured for the kind of pictures I will be taking at distance, the 1.8 would be fine.
I am not a photography expert
See the title! I’m only just learning what these specs and values do and mean. So take my stuff with a grain of salt! If you have improvements I can make, you can contact me! I’d be glad to change things!
Wrap up
Well, that’s mostly it. I’m waiting for the lens to come, and then I still need film and a way to develop it. Either way, I’ll be sure to show you guys some of the pictures I take once I get everything together. I hope it’s awesome, and good to use for storm chasing next season. Thanks!
